“Why The 4-Day Workweek?”

&

There are  many reasons why we work…

  1. Buy stuff (Products/Services)
  2. Pay down debt.
  3. Saving for the future and “rainy days.”
  4. For self-enjoyment
  5. To contribute to and to add value for others.

So why do I think that work is overrated?

Well first of all, most of the money generated from working is used to buy things or versions of things that we either don’t need, that lose value and our interest over time, and/or that require too much time and money to use and/or maintain.

Secondly, and I’m sure many would disagree,  working for the financial benefit of one’s heirs causes more harm than good as it can de-motivate and divide loved ones.

Too much time is exchanged for dollars and not the experiences that money cannot buy.

That is why balance is so important and why I am such a huge proponent of a 4-day workweek. It’s one of the many criteria  I used to reverse engineer ChiroTrust.
