Whether it’s done intentionally or by default, a D.C. will create either a mainstream office or a practice that is anything but.
So what is the difference?
One is market/demand driven.
The other is product/supply driven.
One is mainstream.
One is not.
Can you figure out which is which?
Where a Chiropractor’s thinking goes wrong is when he or she attempts to emulate industry disruptors…
Like Tesla – Constant change, innovation, evolution
Like Amazon – Dematerialized the retail industry
Like Airbnb – An alternative to hotels and 2nd home ownership.
Chiropractic is not Tesla, Amazon, or Airbnb.
Never will be.
Never can be.
Unlike these industry transformers, in the eyes of the market, Chiropractic has never simply given it what it ALREADY wants.
Instead, Chiropractic continues to “educate” patients what they need and should want.
It’s a bad business model that continues to be pitched and preached by colleges and consultants.
Why?
Because that’s the business that THEY are in.
This makes you feel as though you are incompetent.
It’s not you.
It’s the strategies, advice, and gimmicks.
It’s what has created market confusion and controversy about Chiropractic.
Embrace the mainstream.
It’s where the market is.
Accept it AS it is.
Be married to the market, not your version of what Chiropractic should be.
