Ben Altadonna Daily Marketing Tip: You Must Give Patients What They Want!
Are You Giving Patients What They Want? Are You Creating a WOW Experience?
Are you giving new patients and existing patients what they want? Are you really?
Probably the toughest pill for chiropractors to swallow is the fact that the vast majority of patients that come in want 3 things and 3 things only:
1. To get out of pain
2. To get out of your office
3. The third thing is that they MUST enjoy the process (WOW Experience). This is too often overlooked.
Read that again. Let it soak in. These are the “Top 3 Things Chiropractic Patients Really Want”.
Because unless and until you accept that, you will NOT build a referral based practice…Ever. You will forever need to spend time and money replacing patients that never come back or refer others.
So, if you truly want to help people. If you truly want them to utilize Chiropractic more often in their lifetime, and if you truly want them to refer new patients to you, you must adopt this business philosophy and this business model.
Anything different than this may make you feel as if YOUR patients “get it” or are different but it certainly won’t create a business that works; one that enables you to best leverage your time, money, and abilities.
I know; it’s counterintuitive. You may still think that your chiropractic patients must accept the “big idea”, the devastating effects of drugs, surgery, and subluxations, but the truth of the matter is, that way of thinking, that path only creates confusion, controversy, and makes patients more not less skeptical.
It’s much better that you start off resistant to this advice, than your patients starting off resistant to yours.
That’s for sure.

Great points here. That third point -the WOW factor, includes many subheadings such as the doctor’s integrity, the affordability of the care recommended, and even the cleanliness and organization of the office. As a retired DC and now author/coach helping other DCs, I’m amazed at how many docs miss those basics of the WOW.
