If you want to leverage your thinking, your actions, your staff, your patients, and your potential…and get the most out of every minute and dime spent, think long term.
Thinking long term not only keeps you from doing stupid stuff, not only drastically eliminates distractions, and not only saves you a ton of time, money, and grief but…
Thinking long term creates peace of mind…and peace of mind is everything.
So, how DO you think long term?
By asking yourself these questions:
- Will this serve me for years?
- Will this position me as already successful… even if I’m not there yet?
- Will this be congruent with what is best for not only my practice, but the health and wellness of both my self and my family?
- Is it scalable so that over time, my overhead % gets better, not worse…and if worse, is the needed increase in gross collections and effort to achieve it worth it?
- Will this improve my reputation, relevance, and relationships?
- Barring any unforeseen crises, can I do this and can it be done throughout my entire life?
- Would this add energy to me and others?
- Does this truly already have perceived value and is it not only about and/or for the money?
- Is it free of controversy and if not, can I handle the resulting stress, confrontation, and possible risks and liabilities?
- Is this not motivated by greed, envy, or ego?
Thinking long term is what maturity is all about.
It’s “elegant”.
And it prevents a lot of grief.
On top of all that, it maximizes simplicity.
Is it easy to create, maintain, and sustain?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
It’s an ongoing process of self-assessment, self-awareness and is what The ChiroTrust and The ChiroTrust Committee is truly all about.
