How I Think

H

Success is a thinking game, not really a doing game.

Sure, you and I have to do stuff but the difference between struggling and succeeding is how one thinks.

The “thinking” is what creates the right “doing.”

HERE ARE SOME QUICK AND FAST DESCRIPTORS OF HOW I THINK.

These are not 100% accurate but I have found they do yield some good results for me and those I serve:

  • I assume nobody cares about me and that everyone only care about themselves.
  • If someone doesn’t pay for my advice, they don’t get it, value it, and won’t do anything with it.
  • The more I charge, the better quality person I attract, the easier they are to work with, and the more successful they will become.
  • If someone has struggled for many, many years, then odds are, they will continue to struggle. Success, or lack thereof, leaves clues. Always factor that in.
  • Only invest what you can afford to lose: financially, emotionally, time-wise.
  • No matter what the potential payoff or return is, I don’t do business with anyone I don’t respect.
  • There are no shortcuts in life. You have to put in the work. My success “secret” is that when most people are kick’n back, I’m work’n.
  • Give people what they want…changing them is impossible and not worth the brain damage.
  • Unless “they” are as successful as or more successful than you, for “their” sake, play your success down.
  • It’s all marketing and execution. The actual product, service, or “idea” has little to do with the probability of success. You want a billion dollar idea? Here it is: hover boards.
  • Most people care more about what people think of them than what they think of themselves. As a result, they waste a lot of time and energy. They rarely succeed or are happy.
  • Most people talk too much. Talking is overrated.
  • The Chiropractic industry (Business to Business and Business to Consumer) is polluted.
  • The less I think about money, the more money I make.
  • No matter what, I can always move to Bozeman, Montana, rent a one bedroom apartment, and play guitar and fly fish all day. Everything else isn’t really that important or necessary to me.
  • For me, other than my faith, family, friends, and health, I don’t take much else too seriously.
  • In spite of my quirks and imperfections, the more I am me, the more value I bring to the world.
  • If you don’t make people feel good about themselves, they won’t stick around for long.
  • I’m willing to go the extra mile for those who are down to earth, nice to others, and are humble.
  • Get rid of AS$#@*!HOLES at any cost.

It’s all about self-awareness.

Knowing one’s self makes decisions and life a whole lot easier and more efficient.
