Chiropractic Marketing Strategies and Anti-Marketing

Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite Chiropractic Marketing Strategies. It’s called “Anti-Marketing”. So, you ask…What is anti-marketing?

Anti-marketing is marketing that does not appear to be marketing. It is marketing that is extremely professional and uses content and information to position you as an expert and the Chiropractor to go to in your area.

Instead of trying to sell… it builds a relationship through the principle of Fertile Ground so patients come to the conclusion what you offer is something they want and are willing to pay for.

The worst way to build a practice is through selling. Convincing patients they need Chiropractic care with aggressive marketing strategies and ROF’s will only lead to constant conflict, stress and strain.

If you are “burned out” it is because you are practicing with an incorrect model and mind-set. Marketing to patients and chasing them trying to convince them to pay for something they really don’t is the most frustrating and exhausting thing I know.

Believe me – I did it. When I practiced the majority of new patient chiropractic marketing strategies had to do with scare tactics, 3 day report of findings, and prepays.

Anti-marketing is one of the most powerful things you can do in your practice… or any business. Anti-marketing takes a tremendous amount of strategic knowledge, planning and skill.

There is no way one doctor in his practice can even come close to doing all the things we do. And even if you could – it would be an enormous mistake for you to try.

One of my biggest secrets to success is defining what my unique skill is – and only doing that. I delegate everything else to experts whose unique skills are different than mine.

Trying to be a jack of all trades and do everything is the kiss of death for business and practice success.

Believe me… I do a lot. I do more before 8am than most people do in 3 or 4 days. But I am doing my unique skill. My unique skill maximizes my business growth and profit. And, I enjoy doing my unique skill so there is minimal stress, I enjoy it… and… I will never get burned out.

Burn out does not come from hard work. It comes from doing the wrong thing. It comes from frustration. It comes from struggling. Failing. Not getting what you want.

The last thing you want to be doing is spending too much time on ineffective chiropractic marketing strategies that ll stress out you, your staff, and worst of all your patients.

Have you ever watched Olympics?

This is what always stuck out to me about the Olympics: The winner of the marathons always has enough energy to do a victory lap and celebrate. The runner that comes in second place usually in completely exhausted and can barely walk after the race.

I believe this is much more mental than physical. Success and getting what you want energizes you. It makes you feel almost super human.

Failure and not getting what you want drains you.

I have been getting up to start my work day between 4:30 and 5:00am for over 20 years. And I am very rarely tired.

Most days I wake up feeling energized and can’t wait to do what I do best and love doing.

But there was a time when getting out of bed was brutal. When I was struggling… I was exhausted all the time. I was 20 years younger than I am now and had 25% of my present energy.

I can’t stress this enough. Success is an inside job. You must have the right strategies and tool, but without thinking accurately… nothing will work.

In reality… the only difference between me and the fast food workers who want $15/hour is the way we think.

There was a time when I was failing so miserably I had to sleep in my practice. When I changed the way I thought – my success came so fast I couldn’t believe there was ever a time I struggled.

There are no victims in life. You can be a fast food worker or a CEO. It’s completely up to you.
