Aggressive marketing and business models are increasingly being rejected by Chiropractors, consumers, and patients.
Nevertheless, there are D.C.s who continue to jump around from guru to guru, hoping for a solution to their struggle.
If one thing doesn’t “work”, they try something else… until they’re jaded or broke, that is.
There is noTHING that “works”. You are that thing. You must work.
But at what?
If you want to offer massage, then open a massage business.
If you want to “do weight loss”, then open a weight loss center.
If you want to cure diabetes, become an M.D.; otherwise, you risk practicing outside of your scope. Sooner or later, you will be called out.
If you want to feel like an entrepreneur but really be a glorified employee, then consider buying a franchise.
Don’t think that adding partners, products, or services to your practice will make you more money.
More complexity? Yes.
More money? Doubtful.
A widget is a widget.
It’s hard enough to sell one widget, let alone a small handful of them.
Narrow your focus
Narrow your market
Narrow your message
Also, remember this…
“It is just as hard to sell something for free as it is selling something for money.”
So don’t think that whomever charges the least wins.
You can charge too much or too little.
But one thing is certain….
You need to be a great doc AND have really good marketing.
Don’t be fooled…
You can’t do and be really good at both.
If you try, one will cannibalize the other.
I recommend that you “work” at becoming the best doctor that you can be.
