Maybe I’m unique but I don’t think so…
Do you sometimes not feel like working ON your business?
That’s what I thought.
We ARE alike!
Hey I admit it, attracting, and managing “customers” can be a pain in the butt.
- To ignore the fact that they need help, they come across as if you need them more than they need you.
- They want change but resist change.
- They don’t know what they don’t know but act as if they know enough.
So how do I do it?.. How do I stay in a productive work “mood” so I can productively work both on and in my business?
HERE’S HOW…
- I accept the fact that “they” aren’t me. I only do and say what “they” already agree with, value, or want to hear. I don’t defend, debate, or convince. I don’t need the brain damage.
- At least 30-60 minutes a day, Mon. – Thur. I work “on” my business alone. Away from others.
- Offline. Undistracted. No phone calls. No emails. No face-to-face with anyone.
- I design a business and a life that makes me happy. If it doesn’t make me happy, if it isn’t fun, if it isn’t around people I like and respect, then I won’t do it. “Simplicity” and “Minimum Effective Dose” is my mantra. For me, less creates more. I also have the attitude that virtually everything is meaningless…that what is, is. Nothing more, nothing less. I try to focus on and function in the real world.
- I practice intermittent fasting daily and work out 7 days a week, 20 minutes maximum. I don’t do anything extreme. Everything must be pleasurable, scalable, and relatively safe. I eat clean most of the time but not always.
- I live below my means and have done so all of my life. As a result, I now work because I want to, not because I have to.
I have found that responsibility equates to control… I blame no one for no-thing. Blaming, whining, or worrying is a waste of time and it decimates motivation, confidence, and overall mood.
You want a better practice and a better life? Do you know what that looks like for you?
Do you have the knowledge, confidence, and capabilities needed to create what you want?
Are you doing things or acquiring things that are weighing you down?
Can you make and stick to painful decisions?
Are you playing too small or too big?
Do you have unreasonable expectations based on what you currently bring to the table?
Do you waste time blaming others, envying others, or feeling sorry for yourself?
Do you push yourself hard enough?
SELF AWARENESS is a mood enhancer.
Come clean with yourself…because I guarantee, you “ain’t” fool’n anyone.
