Ben Altadonna Chiropractic Marketing Series “5 QUESTIONS THAT I OFTEN ASK MYSELF”
This past week, I have gone over 3/5 questions that I often ask myself. Here are the other 2 questions:
These are questions I often ask others who are either focused on what they believe to be a challenge or an opportunity.
Question #4 of 5:
“What Can I Improve, Do More of, or Repurpose?”
Without bragging, I’m a master of this.
Okay, I’m bragging.
This is one of my secrets to success.
It almost falls into the category of, “If I tell you, then I have to kill you.”
It’s THAT good…
See, both you and I must at some level, exchange time for dollars and to be honest, I HATE exchanging time for dollars.
Why?
Because I am well aware that although dollars are unlimited, there’s tons of it out there. Time is not.
Nevertheless, a good part of my day to day work activities require me to exchange my time for dollars.
Same goes for you. For the most part, if you don’t meet with people, manage, and/or deliver care, then you don’t get paid.
So the trick is to leverage whatever’s working. How can what is working be improved so it can work even better?
See there’s a saying, “You can’t multiply zeros”.
What this means is that if something isn’t working, doubling its effectiveness still gets you to zero.
But if something IS working, no matter if it’s mildly working, moderately working, or is extremely effective, then chances are, it can be improved and thus, yield even bigger returns.
So, improving what is already working should always be on your mind.
Also, can it simply be done more often?
Instead of monthly, how about weekly?
Instead of weekly, how about daily?
Twice a day?
Lastly, can it be repurposed?
Can it be repackaged, repositioned, or recycled?
Ultimately, what you always want to TRY to do is make all efforts what I call “evergreen”.
Evergreen means being able to “Bank” your byproducts.
Exchanging time for dollars is a perishable activity that we all must be involved in but when you always strive to improve, do more, and repurpose, you will create leverage and leverage, my friend, is the difference between working hard and working smart.
Question #5 of 5:
“Is It Congruent With What I’m All About?”
It is so easy to get off track in business and in life with companies, staff, patients, friends, and strangers doing everything they can, both on and offline, to influence you and your decisions.
They are trying to sell you on an idea, a point of view, a product, a service, attending a pool party, you name it.
And all that is great provided that it is congruent with what you are all about, your goals, and your values.
The day I made asking myself this question was the day my life transformed.
But it got even better…
Once I saw how much of a difference it made in my life, I said to myself, “What if I created a practice that was congruent with what PATIENTS are all about?”
Ask yourself this question and the others I shared with you this week because they truthfully have made all the difference in the world for me.
