Yes, at 55 years of age and after growing businesses and practices for over 25 years, I know exactly why some new practitioners succeed quickly, why many Chiropractic veterans will always struggle, and why once “successful” doctors hit rock bottom…
Excuses.
Mainly 5 of them.
Here they are:
- It won’t work for me.
- I’m too _________ (lazy, broke, old, young, etc.).
- My ________ (town/patients/business, staff, self, husband, wife, etc.) is different.
- I don’t like _________ (marketing, advertising, hiring more staff, working mornings, computers, billing ins., relief care, etc.).
- But (I don’t understand how, why, when, what if? etc.)
Excuses.
You only learn, grow, understand, prosper, and achieve maximum happiness…
By making “mistakes”. (I don’t believe in mistakes, by the way.)
By taking “risks”. (The biggest risk is doing nothing at all.)
By massive action.
By saying “yes” almost all of the time.
By calling “B.S.” on yourself more than others.
By being a buyer (especially if you are a seller).
By getting out of your comfort zone.
By not being controlled by your past, your parents, your spouse, or your fears.
By letting go.
Otherwise, you will continue to stay where you are at.
Bottom line.
